No More Fear

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

As you will note from the date, today is Friday 13th. People tend to be superstitious about this date. They even have a name for it. There is a history associated with Friday the 13th and its impact on our culture.

Christians however, don’t have to be superstitious. God has said one command more than any other – “fear not” or “have no fear.” Fear should not rule our lives. We don’t need to be scared when a certain date comes around. We also don’t have to be scared when dates will come in the future.

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
(Matthew 24:36 NKJV)

Because we don’t know the exact day and hour, we should have no more fear of dates. Instead, we should live our lives with power, love, and a sound mind. We should have no more fear about the past, the present, nor the future. When we live with no more fear, then our lives are easier to manage.
