Prophecy Watch: Obama’s Policies Paving the Way for the Antichrist is a simple thought reflection about a prophetic possibility. While President Obama is not the Antichrist, his policies may be destroying religious liberties.

In a forthcoming book, Dr. Robert Jeffries, pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas, Texas defended his assertion that President Barack Obama’s policies “paved the way” for the coming usurpation of religious liberties and moral law by the Antichrist.

I think it is true that there is coming a day (and is already here in some ways) when religious liberties will be curtailed and that moral law will be usurped by the Antichrist. However, I don’t think Obama is the ONLY one “paving the way.” There are many leaders in many countries who combined are “paving a trend” which will end with the Antichrist using all of that history to justify his actions.

The problem is that Pastor Jeffries seems to be hypocritical in his dealings with Obama. In this case, Pastor Jeffries is willing to defend a leader of what he calls a cult over and against a Christian. The only difference, the host points out, is that Obama is black. What I take away from this video is the fact, that on the one hand, a Christian pastor can say that Obama is “paving the way” for the Antichrist. On the other hand, by his words and actions, this same pastor is falling into the trap of “paving the way” for the Antichrist. This inconsistent Christian witness is very dangerous as we move closer to the end-times which we all know is coming.
