So once a month, I have to gird my loins and sit down with my frenemy and podcaster Luke Norsworthy to talk about all the mistakes he’s made over the last few weeks and how much room he has for improvement.
We always have plenty to talk about.
This month, Luke’s had some great interviews with Brian McClaren, Steven Moore and Randy Harris on Black Rage, and a live podcast he did with Richard Beck and Caleb Kaltenbach about creating better conversations between the Church and the LGBTQ community.
When Luke and I sat down to wrap it all up we talked about how the most environmentally friendly, earth conscience movement in modern history was…the Nazi’s.
We talked about why the church needs to reclaim it’s ability to be good news to sexual minorities and about some ways we might go about doing that, and how white privilege needs to be, and can be, changed by our Christian hope.
I’ll always give Luke a hard time, but I really do appreciate his willingness to keep having hard but good conversations with some of the best thinkers out there, and if you aren’t already listening to it, I highly recommend checking out his podcast here.
