“For the earnest expectation of creation anxiously awaits the revelation of the children of God. For creation was made subordinate to pointlessness, not willingly but because of the one who subordinated it, in the hope that creation itself will also be liberated from decay into the freedom of the glory of God’s children. For we know that all creation groans together and labors together in birth pangs up to this moment; not only this, but even we ourselves, having the first fruits of the spirit, groan within ourselves as well, anxiously awaiting adoption, (and the) emancipation of our body.” (DBH, emphasis mine)
All creation awaits something miraculous. It’s not the second coming of Christ. It’s not the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. It’s not the fulfillment of some ancient prophecy. No, it is simply this: the awakening of human consciousness.
Until this awakening dawns upon mankind, the earth suffers from our ignorance. The illusion of separation brings war and genocide. Death and destruction will reign for as long as we believe in the lie of separation. Starvation will continue. Diseases will spread. Suffering will persist.
Our disharmony with one another is echoed in our misalignment with all of nature, and all of nature, and humanity, will pay the price of our dissonance and disconnection.
And so, all creation groans for us, the human race, to awaken from our dream of separation and to stand up and realize our identity as the Children of God, and our connection with everything.
This quantum awakening is what is necessary for the end of all suffering and the liberation of the earth from the bondage of darkness.
As we approach this awakening, the birth pangs will intensify. The old paradigms will protest. The animal mind in us will resist any suggestion of unity with those who do not look like us or think like us. We will cling tightly to our convictions of separation. We will focus on our differences rather than on what we have in common. It may even seem, as we grow closer to our awakening, that some of us would rather die or destroy the entire world, rather than accept our oneness with everything. Some people may take it that far, to be honest. They may decide that it’s better to die believing the lie than to live with the reality of connection. For those who chose this path, we can only mourn their fears and grieve for their loss.
But the awakening of all humanity into this glorious truth of unity is still an inevitability. It cannot be stopped. It cannot be avoided. God’s Kingdom is coming. The Child of Humanity will be revealed. The darkness cannot persist. The dawn is coming. The sun will shine. The light will push back the shadows.
Patience is the virtue that will overcome our ignorance.
Until that day, we await the awakening of human consciousness.
Blessed are those who know the truth, for they can see the sky beginning to change color.
