Public Masses Cancelled in Rome until April

Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, Vicar General of Rome, announced today that Masses with the faithful will be suspended in the Diocese of Rome until April 3rd.  This follows a decree from the Italian government suspending all public civil and religious ceremonies.

At the same time, the Diocese of Rome has called for a day of fasting and prayer on March 11th for the victims of the coronavirus.

To be in Rome, and not find a public Mass… that is hard to imagine!  At least churches will remain open.
