Bring to mind the image of a toddler walking through the park holding on tight to his father’s hand.  That child has no worries or anxieties.  Holding on to his father’s hand, he feels safe.  He trusts that he will be taken to a good place and not to a place of danger.  The toddler places all his trust in his dad, though the boy has no idea where he’s going, but he does know all will be OK. “You brood of vipers! Produce good fruit as evidence of your repentance.” “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” “Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” “The chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” With this attitude, I don’t think anyone will be inviting Saint John the Baptist over for dinner, or even a beer. Saint John preaches an inconvenient truth many don’t want to hear, a... Read more

Go Irish!       Pictures are mine, all rights... Read more

A few days ago news broke out that the United States was moving its Embassy to the Vatican (the Holy See) to the campus of its Embassy to Italy.  The news reports correctly did not state that the United States was closing its Embassy to the Holy See, but that the United States was consolidating operations into one campus due to safety concerns.  The Embassy to the Holy See would still function as before but at a different location.
