Obviously I’m not retelling the whole story of the horrific shooting that occurred at Planned Parenthood in Colorado.
What I am doing with this post, however, is to illustrate a few, well, somewhat obvious observations I made.
How about care about the victims of this situation rather than taking pot shots at the Republicans? Really do you really care about the fact a man went on a rampage or that one of your precious talking points is possible coming to life. You people just disgust me because that is all you guys seem to care about which is use this opportunity to just shame your opponents. The fact the assailant said “baby parts” doesn’t fully close on what his true motive was. In fact he was shown not to be in any pro life organization and was unaffiliated. Before you criticize Republicans, take a good look in the mirror and if you are just being holier than thou smug opportunists.
“How about care about the victims of this situation rather than taking pot shots at the Republicans?”
I do care, deeply. I’ve been looking for a sign that Republicans care about them, too, and I’ve noticed that expressions of empathy have been very thin on the ground. In fact that’s been true for many of the violent events that have been in the news in the last year, not just this one.
I’d sincerely like to know– how can we work together to keep things like this from happening? I’d far prefer to use my energy for working on a common cause. Do we have one?
The common cause is freewill … freedom of choice. So we can say to folks, “hey, don’t get an abortion,” “hey, don’t be gay,” or “hey, don’t go to church;” but at the end recognize and respect their own choices!
We’ve got to quit thinking that we can or should force our ideas upon others.
It’s not *our* “precious talking points…coming to life.”
I’m not concerned with “holier than thou” because I don’t recognize “holiness”, and as far as smug opportunists? I give you the following 3 LIARS.
– Nidal Hasan – Ft Hood Shooter: Registered Democrat and Muslim.
– Aaron Alexis, Navy Yard shooter – black liberal/Obama voter
– Seung-Hui Cho – Virginia Tech shooter: Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff, registered Democrat.
– James Holmes – the “Dark Knight”/Colorado shooter: Registered Democrat, staff worker on the Obama campaign, #Occupy guy, progressive liberal, hated Christians.
– Amy Bishop, the rabid leftist, killed her colleagues in Alabama, Obama supporter.
– Andrew J. Stack, flew plane into IRS building in Texas – Leftist Democrat
– James J. Lee who was the “green activist”/ leftist took hostages at Discovery Channel
List of shooters were liberal in nature, but no one blames the Democrats for radicalizing them.
Not to mention the fact that the guy only said” no more baby parts” not ” no more selling baby parts” which indicates he wasn’t influenced by Fiornia’s words.
Yeah, extremism isn’t limited to right-wing politics. We know that.
The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats condemn acts of violence by left-wing extremists. Republicans don’t condemn acts of violence by right-wing extremists — they are right-wing extremists who actually encourage the behavior.
They do, but people are pretty selective when it comes to when right wing people condemn violence. No, really when you got Al Sharpton who has a history of encouraging bad behavior yet he still gets a role on MNSBC, it really seems hypocritical to say that right wingers encourage this behavior.
What Liberal goes on tv/radio/book tours and calls for the murder of right wing conservatives? What have the Dems done to “radicalize” the above people? Point out where Keith Obherman or Rachel Maddow called for violence against ANYONE.
Al Sharpton would like to have a word with you.
I really can’t believe you’re defending this murderous terrorist. You’ve really gone over the edge.
A NY Daily News op-ed piece is not reporting, JQ. You suck at research/citations.
I am not defending this murderous guy. I am pointing out how trying to tie this guy to Republicans is dirty and opportunistic.
Not to mention would you blame these group of pro-choice activists on politicians who were pro-choice as well. Or maybe it would be opportunistic to do that.
Catholic News Agency…Wow, you seriously don’t know how to look for an unbiased news source, do you?
You really shouldn’t use words you don’t understand. Opportunistic doesn’t make sense the way you’re using it. Weren’t you an English major? ESL?
Mostly because no other news site is reporting on this at all.
What does this video have to do with anything? I don’t see anyone getting shot or beaten.
They are attacking a Cathedral. So, these people are not above violent means to get their point across.
They spray painted graffiti, burned the pope in effigy, and annoyed some guys saying the rosary. Again, no bombs, no guns, no fights, no knives, no arson…No relevance.
I can see how it would be troubling to a catholic, but it’s not equivalent to the Colorado Springs shooting.
I would attack a cathedral too, if I thought I could get away with it.
Nice to see you support vandalism against people you don’t like.
Right. And I definitely don’t like child molesters and misogynists who attempt to meddle in my government.
Yeah, and for all your talks of being against bigotry. That is one of the most bigoted statements I have ever heard.
There’s nothing violent there, just actions offensive to catholics. To which I reply “So, what if catholics are offended?” No one was injured or died; not what I would call a “violent attack”. It’s not like the church was set on fire or blown up, it got spra painted. No one hit or shot the praying guys. There was NO VIOLENT ATTACK.
I just looked at the date stamp. You ran this bullshit here on ‘laughing’ and then a day later on FA? Did you want to get smacked down a second time for all the same lies and misrepresentations all over again? How is that any different than flat up trolling to shield the christianists from the harms they are responsible for?
There are no lies about anything, because it straight up shows violent people wanting to do harm because of their opinions. Just because you wouldn’t hurt a person, doesn’t mean everyone that shares your political opinion wouldn’t be above hurting others.
Did you see the pro-lifers tweeting their support for the shooter? When you say “x are murders and baby killers” then people will go and kill or bomb X. That’s reality and everyone with2 brain cells sees how that works.
Those tweeters are jerks, but the internet attracts scum who have no love for others in their heart. I think his anti-abortion views are a big piece in a messed up puzzle that is this man’s life.
Right, I get it. No christians are responsible for violent rhetoric ever.
Not to mention Carson condemned this attack poking the narrative that Republicans never condemn attacks.
Which part of the article has al Sharpton pushing an attack on right wing conservatives?
“Lance” posted this exact breitbart list and several commentors pointed out links to webpages debunking them and listing out the debunking directly. Your copy /paste lies are weak and pathetic.
“care about the victims of this situation”
JQ, you refused to decry the killings and shootings yesterday. I don’t think you get to turn around today and accuse people of doing exactly what you did.
I don’t see people around here caring about the victims, but more on throwing crap at the pro-life movement by falsely saying he was inspired by the PP videos.
“Falsely inspired”? He’s been quoted by law enforcement as saying “no more baby parts”. Now, let me think….Who’s been saying this crap and why….Hmmmmmm…..
Did the meds wear off already?
Nicely done. I hope you get a lot of reaction and attention from the Christian communities here.
I’m glad you like them. I’m hoping to get all the available– and nonlethal — attention possible.
If god was real:
