We’ve gathered today to read chapters 17 and 18 in the Book Of Exodus. Last time we left our hero, that’s Moses by the way) the LORD was raining down meat and bread to feed the ancient Israelites as the schlepped through the desert. But what about water? You may be asking yourself. Good question. Moses is going to use his magic staff once again and whammy up some water.
Now, it’s time to get serious. How did Moses deal with all the disputes among his people? Good question. Chapter 18 takes a stab at giving an answer. And once again we come face to face with the idea that Jehovah is just one of a group of gods! From Moses’ father in-law no less.
