This is a true story…
“I got 99 problems but a vax ain’t one” weren’t the last words out of anti-vax Hillsong Church member Stephen Harmon. However, he did utter them before coming down with COVID and dying from the virus.
Stephen Harmon lost his battle on July 21 – after posting a moxie-filled tweet back in June: “IF YOU’RE HAVING EMAIL PROBLEMS, I FEEL BAD FOR YOU, SON. I GOT 99 PROBLEMS BUT A VAX AIN’T ONE!”
I know it’s disrespectful to mock ALL CAPS who have died, so I won’t.
Here’s the tweet.
The Sun continues:
Before his death, Harmon appeared to not take the pandemic too seriously.
Back on May 25, he created a meme featuring the rapper Drake side by side with Dr. Anthony Fauci.
He claimed to put more faith in his religion than mortals like Fauci pushing for people to adhere to specific restrictions to prevent the spread of the disease.
Evangelical Christianity primes people for stupidity. What did Voltaire say? If you make a person believe in absurdities they won’t get proper medical treatment. Well, it was something like that.
Mr. Harmon pleaded for prayers and miracles at the end. While he got prayers, the miracle never happened.
Let’s hope his death convinced some people to get the vaccine.
