Translation, 1 Kings 17

And said ?Eliyyahu the Settler from the Settlers of Gil?ad to Achav,

?Life of Yahweh, Elohim of Yisrael
Which I stand before Him
If (surely not) there will be these years dew or rain
Except to my mouth, my word.?E
And it was the word of Yahweh to him, saying,
?Go from this.
And turn you eastward
And hide by the Wadi Keriyt
Which is on the face of the Yarden.
And it will be from the wadi you will drink
And ravens I have commanded to provide you there.?E
And he went and he did according to the word of Yahweh
And he went and settled by the wadi Keriyt
which is on the face of the Yarden.
Now the ravens were causing to come to him
Bread and flesh in the morning and bread
and flesh in the evening.
And from the wadi he drank.
And it was from the end of days and he settled at the wadi
For there was not rainfall in the land.

And it was the word of Yahweh to him, saying,
?Arise, go to Tzarpatah which is to Tziydon.
And settle there.
Behold, I have commanded there a woman, a widow, to provide for you.?E
And he arise and went to Tzarpatah and he entered to the gate of the city
And behold there, a woman, a widow, gathering wood
And he called to her and said,
?Take hold, please, for me a little water in a vessel and I will drink.?E
And she went to take hold and he called to her and said,
?Take hold, please, for me a piece of bread in your hand.
And she said,
?Life of Yahweh your Elohim.
If (surely not) there is for me provision
Except I fill the palm of flour in a large jar
And a little oil in a little jar
Now behold, (I am) gathering two woods
And I enter and I prepare it for me and for my son
And we eat it
And we die.?E
And said to her ?Eliyyahu,
?Do not fear.
Enter, do according to your word.
Only make for me from there a little bread-cake in the beginning.
And bring it to me
And for you, and for your son make afterward.
For thus says Yahweh, Elohim of Yisrael,
?The large-jar of flour will not become finished
And the small-jar of oil will not diminish
Until the day Yahweh gives rain on the face of the earth.??
And she went and she made according to the word of ?Eliyyahu
And she ate, she and he and her house, days.
The large-jar of flour did not become finished
And the little-jar of the oil did not diminish
According to the word of Yahweh which he spoke by the hand of ?Eliyyahu.

And it was after these things
Became ill the son of the woman, the Baal-ess of the house.
And it was his sickness became strong, very much,
Until which breath did not remain in him.
And she said to ?Eliyyahu,
?What to me and to you, man of the Elohim?
You enter to me to bring-to-remembrance my iniquities
And to cause-to-die my son.?E
And he said to her,
?Give to me your son.?E
And he took hold of him from her bosom
And ascended him to the room-of-ascent which he was settling there.
And he laid him on his bed.
And he called to Yahweh, and he said,
?Yahweh, my Elohim.
Also on the widow which I am sojourning with her do you cause evil,
To cause her son to die??E
And he measured himself out on the lad three times (feet)
And he called to Yahweh, and he said,
?Yahweh, my Elohim,
Return, please, the soul of this lad on his inner-parts.?E
And heard Yahweh on the voice of ?Eliyyahu
And returned the soul of the lad on his inner-parts.
And he lived.
And took hold ?Eliyyahu the lad
and brought him down from the room-of-ascent of the house
And he gave him to his mother
And said ?Eliyyahu, ?See. Your son lives.?E
And the woman said to ?Eliyyahu,
?Now this I know that a man of the Elohim you are
And the word of Yahweh in your mouth is faithful.?E
