God’s Glory is Everywhere
(6/7)
“The Heavens are Telling the Glory of God.” (Psalm 19:1; read Psalm 19:1-6)
We live in a God-filled world. Every moment reflects God’s glory and wisdom. The infinite and the intimate give witness to God’s creative wisdom over the past 14 billion years, giving birth to our cells and our cells. Yes, there is pandemic, and there is fear and death. In light of our nation’s violence, there is also pain and protest. But the sun also rose this morning; the stars twinkle; the seasons change.
We have been given senses to behold beauty. Hearts to love and hands to reach out. We are part of a great adventure much larger than ourselves. Still our part of the world is God-filled as well. Our cells and souls are witnesses to divine creativity. God inspires us to use our gifts to bring beauty and justice to the world.
Today, behold! Behold the heavens and the skies, give thanks for chirping birds and shimmering seas, delight in the breeze, the colors of the earth, and your own life.
Keep your eyes open! Awaken to your senses! Live with thanksgiving and add to the beauty of the earth!

Open our senses to beauty and wonder. Open our hearts to love, open our souls to reach out to our neighbors and bring beauty to this good earth. Amen.
