It feels like today more than ever, we could pray. Not because there’re more predicaments now than in times past but because our mindset has shifted. It’s retracted from faith in a power greater than us into fear of the world around us.
We could pray every day to appease political hotbeds across the globe which concern us all; to turn around the titanic of climate change; to lift racial tensions; to receive guidance out of financial struggles; to end the corruption of our food supply; to offer solutions to the obesity and addiction epidemics; to put an end to soul starvation; to discontinue the disintegration of integrity in society; to terminate mindless consumption and the abuse of animals and earth.
We could pray every day for our hearts and minds to be illumined by the grace of love so that we may embody the peace and strength of the Divine, right here and now.
We could pray that today we be used to speak up on behalf of those whose voices aren’t heard in public discourse.
We could pray that today we be guided to be the alternative that lifts the tension; settles the case; invents the solution; creates the technology; cleans up the spill; arranges for transportation; makes the call; offers to spend time; steps in; butts out; lifts up; roots down.
We could pray today and every day to be used for good. Prayer, god-speed email, is the action that aligns our desires with our presence on earth. So let’s pray today to shift the vibration from fear to faith right here. We have it in us. It’s a matter of merging spine with spirit.
