It’s not heroic to use your position as an elected official as a bully pulpit to deny civil rights to those you don’t agree with.
It’s not heroic to insist on a ruling from the highest court of our country and then ignore that ruling because you don’t like it.
It’s not heroic to subject your staff to conflict and uncertainty.
It’s not heroic to subject your constituents to conflict and uncertainty.
It’s not heroic to sit in judgement upon others.
But what the heck, by the time the donations, book offers, and speaking engagements come in, you will be set for life.
