I should have started with Kevin Swanson’s ‘Generations With Vision’ website yesterday in my puzzling over the disappearance of Kevin. He posted this in his blog:
Over the last several months, several pastor friends have advised that I take a sabbatical. It has been 16 years of rather intense ministry life, and the 80-90 hour weeks can wear on you after awhile. So. . . we’re turning the mainframe off, and we shall be in hibernation for somewhere around 10 weeks. Some of you may see me in Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina, California, and parts unknown over the next weeks. But, technically I am on sabbatical beginning Wednesday of this week.
Stay tuned to the radio program, if you are of such inclinations. You will catch me on the show, along with Bill, Steve, and Adam McManus.
We are thankful for an incredible year of ministry. . .lots of growth. . . our terrific Generations team. . . our wonderful supportive church. . .and our Lord who has protected us through the wild storms that swept across evangelicalism in 2014.
Let’s just say this. 2015 is going to be even more interesting. And the good Lord willing and the “crick don’t rise,” we’ll be back at the helm ready for the next leg of the journey.
So… that was you I was busy flipping the bird at near the headquarters of HSLDA and Patrick Henry College near Leesburg, Virginia last week while on a pet rescue assignment?
