We’ve written here at NLQ several times about the problems with Independent Fundamentalist Baptist New Bethany Home for Girls in Louisiana along with the case of  Bossier City Jane Doe, who likely came from New Bethany.

Now it turns out that Bossier City’s Jane Doe has been positively identified using DNA analysis as Carol Ann Cole from Kalamazoo, Michigan

There’s a Go Fund Me set up for the burial and funeral expenses for Carol Ann Cole – Bring Carol Ann Home Memorial Fund

From the fundraiser:

We have been fortunate to receive enough outside funding to provide air fare for Jeanie to get to LA, and to bring Carol Ann’s remains home. A plot has been provided by a family member. We are struggling now to raise enough to cover the costs of opening the grave, purchasing a headstone and having it set, and having a proper memorial service. We thank you all for your continued support. We have made a lot of progress but still work to be able to finally lay Carol Ann to rest next to her Uncle. Carol Ann deserves a nice headstone to commemorate her life,. She did not deserve to die the way she did, and to lay unidentified for so many years. She has been missed and loved always.

Please consider giving.
