Quoting Quiverfull: Panic Attacks Happen Because You Don’t Trust God? July 11, 2015

Editor’s note: This is much the same as the poison being spread by Tim LaHaye in his book “How To Win Over Depression” that SASBN member Samantha Field was reviewing. Instead of admitting or realizing that anxiety, fear and panic can happen because of circumstances or even the chemical load in your own brain and getting professional help dealing with your feelings it’s always ‘You are not trusting God.’ Yeah I am, I’m trusting God created psychologists and therapists plus medicine if it’s needed. How is that wrong?

I believe that anxiety gives way to fear. Whether it be the fear of what people will think of you or the fear of losing control, fear is something some of us struggle with. But why? God tells us over and over again that He is with us (Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:9; Isaiah 41:10; Matthew 28:20). That He is for us (Romans 8:31).

Anxiety comes when we don’t trust God with our stress, feelings, and thoughts. This is coming from someone who has dealt with anxiety firsthand. With this being said, I can not explain the freedom that comes when you give Him everything. When you stop trying to take on the world on your own, because you will fail.

QUOTING QUIVERFULL is a regular feature of NLQ – we present the actual words of noted Quiverfull leaders, cultural enforcers and those that seek to keep women submitted to men and ask our readers: What do you think? Agree? Disagree? This is the place to state your opinion. Please, let’s keep it respectful – but at the same time, we encourage readers to examine the ideas of Quiverfull and Spiritual Abuse honestly and thoughtfully.
