NLQ Question of the Week: Does the ‘Proverbs 31’ Role of Women Mean Meek Mild Submission? March 3, 2016

QuestionoftheweekThis is a new series we have started running on Thursdays. Examining some of the questions involving long held Quiverfull theology and life.

After reading through many Christian, Evangelical and Quiverfull blogs recently one thing keeps popping up, the need to define what a strong woman based upon the description of the woman in Proverbs 31. Most are choosing to define this in a way that indicates a meek demeanor that always backs up the dumbest most illogical behaviors of their husbands. Deny your emotions, always smile, tell your man that he’s so wonderful. But is that what a Proverbs 31 woman actually is? Doesn’t line up with what I’ve read. What do you think?

Last week’s question – Why do women have such burdensome roles?
