Another installment of giving better answers to the questions asked at Debi Pearl’s site message board for the book ‘Preparing To Be A Help Meet’. Many young ladies ask questions on all sorts of different subjects brought up by the book. There was just one big problem, many of the answers stray into either the outright bad and emotionally unhealthy to dangerous. Yes, typical Debi Pearl borderline abusive. Here’s what we’re going to be doing here at NLQ. Every week, once or twice a week, I’ll be posting up one of the questions from the message board and ask you, our readers, to answer that poor soul’s question in a way that is logical, rational and the best possible solution, in other words 180 degree turn from Debi and friends always all spelling and grammar in the posting is unchanged from the original author.
I ‘ve got some questions about men’s (in general) food preferences.
Do most guys you know dislike leftovers? My Dad doesn’t really like them (usually we make him something fresh) and I’m wondering how important it is to learn to make very portion specific meals. I come from a large family so I haven’t really thought much about the possibility of making way too much food (as in we can’t eat it all before it spoils)
How much variety do men want in their meals? I know how to make a good amount of things, but of course I have my favorites, etc…
How important is it that it be a hot meal? Meaning like a cold pasta salad vs. stew example.
Does your Dad/husband have any food particularities? What are they? How often do you see it occur in other men?
Thanks for ANY and ALL responses, no matter who you are!!
The advice given isn’t bad. The most common thing is that men vary greatly in what they like to eat. My comment about her question is perhaps she’s putting the cart before the horse if she’s not engaged but worrying about feeding some future husband leftovers. What advice would you give her?
