Announcement: Lightning Across the Plains

As a service to my readers, I thought there may be some interested to learn of a forthcoming large gathering of Heathens in the Midwest of the good ole U. S. of A.  Please note that neither Patheos or myself are affiliated directly with this event.

On September 24-26, Lightning Across the Plains will be held again at Gaea Retreat (a pagan campground) near McLouth, Kansas. Last year there were about 120 attendees, and the hosting Jotun’s Bane Kindred is already expecting more this year.

Planned Activities:

• Various Rituals Including Blot/Faining and Symbel
• Asatru Lectures and Craft Workshops
• Children’s Games & Activities
• And Viking-Themed Games for Everyone

While some of the potential topics for lectures seemed skewed heavily to tribalists… there’s still much to learn and gain from attending a gathering with a diverse group of folks. Just keep in mind at large gatherings like this you usually have a very mixed group of people with differences in practice. So whenever you’re in doubt on what to do in a specific instance, don’t be shy in asking.
