Numerology for Bloggers

Numerology for Bloggers

I’m creeping up on my 666th post for this blog. Not counting the 50-odd drafts I finally deleted, stunted posts too warped to finish or use. Not counting guests posts or the contributions from others from its early group blog days. (Anyone remember when this was called Oak and Holly?) No, not counting articles and columns I have written, or posts for other blogs. My published posts for Pantheon will hit 666 this week.

What does this have to do with numerology?

Quite a milestone. How much has changed since my first post! My fourth post still sounds a bit like something I would write. I’ve heard 11 is the number of magick, but the first line of my eleventh post is hardly magickal. The number thirteen is associated with the moon, yet my thirteenth post was about Mercury.

42 may be the answer, but I doubt most would think my fortysecond post is any kind of answer. My 69th post is fun but not sexy. How ironic that my 93rd post is about Aleister Crowley’s influence on urban music? I think Bilbo would be happy my eleventy-first post is full of music. Post number 418 was about the Occupy Movement.

No idea what I will do for the big 666. Should be something special I suppose. At any rate, blogging numerology is a strange art. I’ve found contemplating these posts an entertaining way to spend some time on a sunny summer’s day.
