Daniel Jean Perrier (he/xe/they) is an independent scholar of religion and an author of horror fiction. He received his Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School in 2019. During his time in the graduate program, his focus was religion, ethics, and politics.
Daniel’s study of religion was built on deep Catholic faith, leftist political impulse, a commitment to uncovering hidden histories, and a lifelong connection to the physical and metaphysical. Daniel’s first “pagan” experience occurred in the intense meditation on a simple stone while in a Catholic mass. Since then, weaving broader, syncretic traditions has been part of his life’s spiritual work.
Daniel’s practice is built on modern neopagan practices, divination, devotion to a mixed pantheon, and ongoing spiritual decolonization. He seeks to co-create a space to discuss everyday topics and spiritual concepts and hopefully promote spiritual healing through thoughtful practice.
