Daniel Jean Perrier (he/xe/they) is an independent scholar of religion and an author of horror fiction. He received his Master of Theological Studies from Harvard
Divinity School in 2019. During his time in the graduate program, his focus was religion, ethics, and politics.
Daniel’s study of religion was built on deep Catholic faith, leftist political impulse, a commitment to uncovering hidden histories, and a lifelong connection to the physical and metaphysical. Daniel’s first “pagan” experience occurred in the intense meditation on a simple stone while in a Catholic mass. Since then, he has known
weaving broader, syncretic traditions would be part of his life’s spiritual work.
