Thought for the Day

Thought for the Day September 18, 2013

Christianity is more than a set of beliefs to be recited. When someone makes the commitment to live their lives in connection to the Christian faith, they are doing more than agreeing to a set of values. Unfortunately, the 20th century emphasis on being able to intellectualize our faith has left many without faith in God or the church because the concepts they learned did not match their experiences. Faith needs to be about doing as much as it needs to be about believing. In what ways do we inspire a faith that withstands the joys and pains of life that is consistent with the values taught and lived by Jesus Christ?
