The power of Nicolas Cage compels you? “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson is urging Christians to show atheists a new Nicolas Cage movie, claiming the film has the power to convert the non-believers.
The Duck Dynasty star recently released a video promoting the new faith-based film “Left Behind” starring Nicolas cage.
Robertson said that the film, which he described as “an action-packed thriller that will take viewers on a wild ride to the day of the Rapture,” would encourage atheists and non-Christians to convert.
About the new movie, Robertson said:
“It’s a warning to those, if it happened today, would be left behind, and I believe people are going to make that life-changing decision to follow Christ on the way home from the theater on Oct. 3.”
Hollywood Reporter reports that the film, based on the book series of the same name by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, follows Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage) who is piloting a plane during the Rapture when millions of people around the globe simply vanish. On the ground, his daughter, Chloe Steele (Cassi Thomson) is among those left behind, forced to navigate a world of madness as she searches for her lost mother and brother.Robertson went on:
“Like most Christians, my family and I can truly say that we’re excited about the soon return of Jesus, and I’m sure, if you’ve been watching the news lately, you know that that return could be any day from now.”
While Robertson may be excited “about the soon return of Jesus,” in reality, the reality star is probably much more excited about dollar signs. As executive producer of the film, Robertson stands to make a nice chunk of change by promoting the Christian fantasy.
And speaking of Duck Dynasty, “End Times,” Nicolas Cage, God, and other absurdities, a new Chrome extension is now available that will substitute every appearance of the word “God” with “Nicolas Cage.” No doubt the good folks at Reddit/OneTrueGod approve.
