Come to Indiana: It’s a great place to be a bigot

Come to Indiana: It’s a great place to be a bigot March 28, 2015

If you love shaming and humiliating people who are different from you, come to Indiana, it’s a great place to be a bigot.

A funny new comedy video is mocking the state’s new ‘religious freedom’ law. The video boasts:

Whether you’re a family of bigots, a couple of bigots, or just an individual bigot, you can explore Indiana Dunes State Park, tour the covered bridges of Park County and shame and humiliate people who are different from you to your heart’s content.

Earlier this week Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed into law the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, mean-spirited legislation that permits discrimination against LGBT people and others when such discrimination aligns with “sincerely held religious beliefs.”

Theoretically, the law would allow restaurants to refuse to serve gay or interracial couples, hotels could refuse to provide lodging for Jews, landlords could refuse to rent to African Americans, pharmacies could refuse to dispense birth control to women, and employers could fire anyone, so long as such behavior was justified by “sincerely held religious belief.”

For a laugh, watch the video below, created by the Internet Action Force:
