GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee admits the Friday attack at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado was an act of “domestic terrorism.”
Despite mainstream media reluctance to identify the shooting as domestic terrorism, the former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential contender declared on Sunday that the Colorado gunman who killed three people and injured nine was a domestic terrorist during an interview on CNN Sunday morning.
After CNN host Brianna Keilar pointed out that reports indicate the shooter had referenced “baby parts,” apparently alluding to controversial and deceptive Planned Parenthood videos that had been hyped by abortion foes in recent months, Huckabee said:
However, the conservative Christian darling who’s known for being a radical social conservative went on to make a despicable comparison between the Planned Parenthood shooter and those who provide abortion services at Planned Parenthood:
Regardless of why he did it, what he did is domestic terrorism. And what he did is absolutely abominable, especially to those of us in the pro-life movement because there’s nothing about any of us that would condone or any way look the other way at something like this.
… there’s no excuse for killing other people, whether it’s happening inside the Planned Parenthood headquarters, inside their clinics where many millions of babies die, or whether it’s people attacking Planned Parenthood.
Huckabee’s comparison is disgusting, but he is right when he admits that the Planned Parenthood shooting was an act of domestic terrorism.
On the same CNN program, another GOP presidential candidate, Ben Carson, refused to identify the Planned Parenthood shooting as an act of domestic terrorism.
