Report: Planned Parenthood Shooter Is A Baptist Bible Thumper November 29, 2015

Christian terrorist: The Planned Parenthood shooter is a religious conservative who opposes abortion and believes in the Bible “wholeheartedly.”

The New York Times reports Robert Lewis Dear, the Planned Parenthood shooter who shot and killed two civilians and a police officer and injured nine others at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs on Friday, was a loner and an independent art dealer with a degree in public administration from a Midwestern college.

In an interview with the Times, Dear’s ex-wife reports Dear was a religious man but not a regular churchgoer who was raised as a Baptist. She said:

He believed wholeheartedly in the Bible. That’s what he always said; he read it cover to cover to cover.

Dear’s ex-wife also reports he was politically conservative and opposed abortion. She said he believed that abortion was wrong, but it was not something that he spoke about much, noting:

It was never really a topic of discussion.

When asked if she thought her ex-husband was capable of such a horrific crime she said:

It never, ever, ever, ever crossed my mind. My heart just fell to my stomach.

When taken into custody Friday night, Dear told police: “No more baby parts.” The remark was an apparent allusion to heavily edited, deceptive and dishonest videos about Planned Parenthood designed to generate public outrage and political support for a campaign to defund the organization.

Recently Planned Parenthood has been the victim of a well financed and cynical campaign to smear the organization dedicated to healthy family planning and women’s reproductive health.

The Center for Medical Progress, a front for radical, anti-abortion, forced-birth extremists, has been running a highly orchestrated campaign to discredit Planned Parenthood and ultimately undermine legal and safe abortion.

Ultimately, those dishonest videos, along with the vitriolic and outrageous rhetoric from supposed “pro-life,” forced birth fanatics, were a call to action, and an incitement to violence. A call apparently answered by Robert Lewis Dear at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs on Friday.

Bottom line: Robert Lewis Dear is a Christian terrorist.
