Pat Robertson Claims Opposing Trump Is ‘Satanic’

Pat Robertson Claims Opposing Trump Is ‘Satanic’ February 28, 2017

The devil made you do it: Opposing Donald Trump is Satanic, according to televangelist Pat Robertson.

Pat Robertson is convinced that God loves Donald Trump, and anyone opposing Trump is revolting against God, and serving Satan.
Right Wing Watch reports that on a recent edition of  the “700 Club” a viewer asked Robertson “why so many people do not support” Trump and his drive to “Make America Great Again.”

Robertson replied that opposition to Trump is Satanic, and that those resisting the Trump agenda want to destroy America:

There’s a desire on the part of some, and I think it’s satanic, it really is spiritual, to destroy America. America is the great hope of the world. If America goes down, the lamp of freedom goes out. There’s no other champion of freedom anywhere in the world and we would be engulfed in chaos.

We were heading that way. Obama was bringing it on. Another four or eight years of Obama-style government and we would have been consumed with a socialist mentality and the freedom that we’ve enjoyed would be blotted out so God gave us a reprieve and this thing is spiritual. It really is spiritual. We need this land, it’s so important. I counsel you: Pray for this nation, pray for the president, pray for this nation, what’s being done against him surpasses—it’s not human, it’s a spiritual thing.

This is not the first time the popular televangelist has tried to argue that God supports Trump while condemning those that reject the Trump agenda. Earlier this month Robertson explained to his viewers that those opposing Trump are really fighting against God.

At the time Robertson argued that Democrats and others who are working against President Trump are actually working against the will of God, suggesting that those people opposing Trump are challenging God’s authority.

Referring to Psalm 2:2, “The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed,” Robertson said:

I think, somehow, the Lord’s plan is being put in place for America and these people are not only revolting against Trump, they’re revolting against what God’s plan is for America. These other people have been trying to destroy America. These left-wingers and so-called progressives are trying to destroy the country that we love and take away the freedoms they love. They want collectivism. They want socialism. What we’re looking at is free markets and freedom from this terrible, overarching bureaucracy. They want to fight as much as they can but I think the good news is the Bible says, “He that sits in the heavens will laugh them to scorn,” and I think that Trump’s someone on his side that is a lot more powerful than the media.

Before the election, Robertson defended Trump after the president was caught bragging about his sexual assault of women in a lewd video released before the election. Robertson dismissed Trump’s confession that he sexually assaulted women and could get away with it, arguing that Trump was simply “trying to look like he’s macho.”

Bottom line: Pat Robertson is still alive; and he believes that his imaginary God is a Trump-loving, conservative Christian, just like him. And if you oppose Trump, it’s because the devil made you do it.
