Donald Trump praises brutal North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, and wants Americans to behave like subservient North Koreans.
In a spur-of-the-moment interview with “Fox and Friends” Friday morning Trump praised the North Korean despot who starves, tortures, and dehumanizes his people. In addition to praising the dictator, Trump also said he wants people to sit at attention for him like they do for North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Speaking with Fox News’ Steve Doocy on Friday, Trump said:
Hey, he (Kim Jong Un) is the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.

When pressed later by reporters about what he meant by the remark, Trump said he was only “kidding,” telling reporters:
I’m kidding, you don’t understand sarcasm.
Trump’s attempt at damage control was not convincing. In fact, his remarks praising Kim Jong Un sounded sincere, and left many confused and angry. For example:
And no, the excuse “I was only joking” is not one that is acceptable for the President of the United States of America, an office in which reposes a vast responsibility on the person who holds it to represent America’s values to the world.

The following is a sample of other reactions to Trump’s vile remarks:
Trump actually said he wants people to treat him like North Koreans treat Kim Jong Un!
How low can we go?

In this video Trump says when Kim Jong-Un speaks, “his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”
Some are arguing he means HIS STAFF, not THE people.
This isn’t any better.

This is Not a President. This is a Dictator.

Bottom line: Trump praises brutal North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, and wishes Americans would behave like subservient North Koreans.
