Trump-Loving Megachurch Pastor Calls New Zealand Terror Attack ‘False Flag’

Trump-Loving Megachurch Pastor Calls New Zealand Terror Attack ‘False Flag’ March 15, 2019

Trump-loving megachurch pastor Rodney Howard-Browne claims the recent terrorist attack in New Zealand is actually a “false flag” operation designed to make conservatives look bad.

Browne, a Trump-loving pastor who was invited to the White House to pray for the president in 2017, went off on a wild rant on Twitter, claiming that the terrorist attack which left 49 people dead at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, was actually a “false flag” operation meant to discredit conservatives:

There is no doubt that what happened in New Zealand as horrific as it is, is a false flag that will be blamed on conservatives when it’s all said and done! Only a total nutjob lunatic, insane demonized freak goes into a building and kills people, it’s unacceptable on every level!

Pastor Howard-Browne is one of Trump’s favorite conservative Christians, and proudly posted this image to Instagram in  2007 when he was invited to the White House “to pray over our 45th President”:

Yesterday was very surreal for @ahowardbrowne & I. 30 years ago we came from South Africa to America as missionaries. Yesterday I was asked by @paulamichellewhite to pray over our 45th President – what a humbling moment standing in the Oval Office – laying hands and praying for our President – Supernatural Wisdom, Guidance and Protection – who could ever even imagine – wow – we are going to see another great spiritual awakening

As for the notion that the New Zealand terror attack was actually a false flag operation meant to discredit conservatives, Pastor Howard-Browne is not alone in making such wild and preposterous claims.

Right-wing idiot Rush Limbaugh made a similar argument earlier today on his radio program, at one point declaring:

There’s an ongoing theory that the shooter himself may in fact be a leftist who writes the manifesto and then goes out and performs the deed purposely to smear his political enemies.

For the record, the attack was not a false flag. The Hill reports: The New Zealand suspect wrote in a manifesto that he supported Trump “as a symbol of renewed white identity.”

Bottom line: Trump-loving megachurch pastor Rodney Howard-Browne and other conservatives claim that the recent terrorist attack in New Zealand was actually a “false flag” operation designed to make conservatives look bad.
