Liar for Jesus: Super Christian and Fox News Host Ainsley Earhardt makes the false claim that Democrats support infanticide.
Fox News’ Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt on Monday falsely claimed once again that Democrats said it is OK to “kill the baby after the baby is born,” an idea pegged to infanticide.
Appearing on Monday’s edition of Fox and Friends Earhardt made the ludicrous and absurd claim that Democrats believe it is OK to kill babies after they are born.
Earhardt made the false and inflammatory claim during an interview with Georgia Senator David Perdue.
In the interview with Senator Perdue concerning the new law in Georgia making abortion a crime punishable by death or life in prison, the clueless Fox News host said:
It backfired on those Democrats when they all said you can have an abortion even after the baby’s born, or kill the baby after it’s born.
Ainsley Earhardt says “it backfired on those Democrats when they all said you can have an abortion even after the baby’s born, or kill the baby after it’s born,” and Sen. David Perdue replies, “this regime on their side has gotten so radical that they think that’s OK.” All lies. pic.twitter.com/ceKBi4g2Rv

Earhardt’s dishonest claim is currently common in conservative Christian circles, and stems from an interview with Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (a medical doctor himself) describing the medical procedure for delivering a non-viable infant. Dishonest conservatives have been distorting Northam’s remarks concerning infant palliative care in an attempt to make the claim that Democrats support infanticide. And Earhardt is not alone in making such dishonest claims.
Pence made his incendiary and false claim on Twitter:
As Democrat Governors in NY & VA advocate for late term abortion & even infanticide – & Democrats in Congress refuse to allow a vote on the Born-Alive bill – TODAY in Times Square an ultrasound will be shown for all to see, demonstrating the miracle of life. #AliveFromNewYork
— Vice President Mike Pence (@VP) May 4, 2019
It is not the first time that Pence has made the despicable and patently false claim that Democrats want to murder or execute infants. Last month, speaking at the 46th annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Pence said:
As Democrat Governors in NY & VA advocate for late term abortion & even infanticide – & Democrats in Congress refuse to allow a vote on the Born-Alive bill – TODAY in Times Square an ultrasound will be shown for all to see, demonstrating the miracle of life.#AliveFromNewYork
With Democrats standing for late-term abortion and infanticide and a culture of death, I promise you this president, this party and this movement will always stand for the unborn. We will always defend the unalienable right to life.
Pence is not alone in making the false claim that Democrats support infanticide. Previously President Trump claimed that mothers and doctors sometimes “execute” new born babies. Speaking at a political rally in Wisconsin, Trump declared:
The baby is born. The mother meets with the doctor. They take care of the baby, they wrap the baby beautifully. And then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby.
Previously Trump has claimed:
The Democrat position on abortion is now so extreme that they don’t mind executing babies AFTER birth…
The false claim that Democrats are advocating for infanticide is a despicable lie often spread by dishonest, forced-birth, anti-abortion extremists like Earhardt, Pence, and Trump; even though The New York Times, CNN, PolitiFact, and other reputable news outlets all agree that such claims are inflammatory and false.
More important, such claims are nothing less than an incitement to violence, and constitute a clear case of stochastic terrorism – “the use of mass public communication, usually against a particular individual or group, which incites or inspires acts of terrorism…”
Indeed the false claim that Democrats support infanticide, and that doctors are actually executing babies, is an incitement to violence and an act of stochastic terrorism that puts health care workers at risk and virtually guarantees future violence against abortion providers and others.
Bottom line: Fox News Host Ainsley Earhardt makes the false claim that Democrats support infanticide.
