Snowflake Alert: Christian hip hop artist Bryann Trejo is leading a boycott of “The Addams Family” movie because he found the movie’s references to demons and Ouija boards “inappropriate.”
In a viral video released on Facebook last week Trejo and his family can be seen leaving a movie theater as Trejo declares:
Yo, so we took the kids to watch The Addams Family. Growing up we watched The Addams Family and it was like what it was like you know costume type comedy, right. Let me tell you something, The Addams Family right here, you can say it was religious or say it was whatever, but it was inappropriate.
The first thing that startled me in the movies was they had the voice of a demon like growling right. Second, the little boy in the cartoon started crawling up the wall, possessed. Let me tell you strike three though. Strike three is when they put out the Ouija board…
As for me and my house We Shall Serve the Lord. And I know the kids are probably mad and don’t understand what I’m asking, but it’s our job to protect them from this stuff…
The stupid, it burns.

At the time of publication the video had over 4.7 million views, with many superstitious Christians agreeing with and supporting Trejo, while other more reasonable people mocked and ridiculed the silly man ranting about a harmless cartoon.Covering the story for PJ Media, conservative Christian author Megan Fox was sympathetic to Trejo’s concerns, writing:
To deny demonic possession and influence as a Christian is to deny the teachings of Christ. If demons do not exist, then Jesus was a madman. There’s no in-between here. Christians who deny the existence of Satan and his minions of chaos are not Christians at all, but heretics and unbelievers.
As for me and my family, we will avoid The Addams Family movie and “hold fast to what is good,” and “abstain from every evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).
In short, Trejo’s childish rant would be funny if there were not so many gullible and ignorant Christians like Fox who agree with such nonsense.
Bottom line: Christian hip hop artist Bryann Trejo is leading a boycott of “The Addams Family” movie because he found the movie’s references to demons and Ouija boards “inappropriate.”
