The stupid it burns: Fueled by mental illness and religious superstition, former rap superstar Kanye West claims God gave him a $68 million tax refund because he is now “in service to Christ.”
Appearing on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, Kanye explained how he has been chosen by God, and that God is using Kanye to “show off.”
Bragging about his $68 million tax refund the intellectually challenged Kanye declared:
As humbly as I can put it, He’s using me to show off. Last year, I made $115 million and still ended up $35 million in debt. This year, I looked up, and I just got $68 million returned to me on my tax returns. And people say, ‘Oh, don’t talk about these numbers.’ No, people need to hear someone that had been put into debt by the system talk about these kind of numbers now that they’re in service to Christ.
Where is the vomit emoji?
Later in the interview Kanye took a cheap shot at non-believers, claiming:
People who don’t believe are the walking dead.
Watch the interview below –
For the record, Kanye’ imaginary God had nothing to do with his tax return. As Consequence of Sound notes:
Of course, Kanye’s massive IRS refund has absolutely nothing to do with God. Rather, he’s simply reaping the benefits of the massive tax break bestowed upon the ultra-wealthy by his good friend Donald Trump. It also helps that he now finds himself at the head of a church likely exempt from paying taxes.
It’s also worth noting that Jesus was not fond of wealthy people:
“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” – Matthew 19:24
However, Kanye can be forgiven for ignoring the teachings of Christ, for this seems to be standard practice for the vast majority of Christians.
Previously Kanye made headlines after defending Trump and white supremacy. Last year, in a bizarre interview with TMZ, an intellectually unhinged Kanye West went on a bizarre rant, trying to justify his support for Trump, while claiming that being a slave was actually a choice.
In the bizarre interview West said:
When you hear about slavery for 400 years – for 400 years? That sounds like a choice!
Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all? It’s like we’re mentally in prison. I like the word ‘prison’ because slavery goes too direct to the idea of blacks. It’s like slavery, Holocaust. Holocaust, Jews. Slavery is blacks. So, prison is something that unites us as one race. Blacks and whites being one race. We’re the human race.
As one might imagine, many people found Kanye’s remarks supporting Trump’s white supremacy, as well as his claim that slavery was a choice, to be disappoiniting, appalling, and profoundly ignorant.
As for his claim that God has rewarded him with a $68 million tax refund, the following is a sample of the reactions via Twitter:

The fact that Kanye got a massive tax refund that he’s proud about due to the tax cuts add so much clarity about his mindset. GREED.
