Elizabeth Warren’s Wealth Tax Makes Billionaire Leon Cooperman Cry

Elizabeth Warren’s Wealth Tax Makes Billionaire Leon Cooperman Cry November 7, 2019

Pathetic: Billionaire Leon Cooperman cries because his obscene wealth might be taxed if Elizabeth Warren becomes president.

In a pathetic display of selfish excess, billionaire hedge fund manager Leon Cooperman humiliates himself on cable television by crying at the thought that Elizabeth Warren might become president and make him pay higher taxes.

Cooperman, appearing on CNBC’s “Halftime Report” earlier this week, became emotional when discussing the upcoming 2020 election, and the prospect that a Democrat like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren might win and tax his obscene wealth.

When asked why he was getting so emotional, the crying billionaire moaned:

I care. That’s it.

Yes. He cares. He cares about his money, and he doesn’t want people to think he is a sleazy “deadbeat” billionaire.

Later, complaining that Warren was being mean to him, the sad billionaire whined:

I don’t need Elizabeth Warren telling me that I’m a deadbeat and that billionaires are deadbeats.

Cooperman continued:

The vilification of billionaires makes no sense to me.

Getting defensive, Cooperman added:

This is idiocy! It’s appealing to the lowest common denominator and basically trying to turn people’s heads around by promising a lot of free stuff.

CNBC reports on the billionaire’s distaste for Warren’s wealth tax:

Cooperman has particularly taken issue with Warren’s proposed wealth tax on the super rich — which would levy a 6% tax on $1 billion in net worth and above. In an interview with Politico, Cooperman said “this is the f—–g American dream she is s——g on.

Poor little rich boy.

Responding to the story via Twitter, Warren tweeted:

One thing I know he cares about—his fortune. He’s a shareholder in Navient, a student loan company that has cheated borrowers and used abusive, misleading tactics. He even went so far as to ask how I might impact his investment in the last earnings call with Navient.

I care about an entire generation of students being crushed by student loan debt—deferring their American dream because they can’t afford it. I care about making sure every American has the opportunity to succeed. I’m not afraid to stand up to the wealthy and well-connected.

Warren is right. Cooperman is a pathetic ass. He is a self-entitled, self-absorbed, deadbeat. His wealth is an obscenity. Let the class war begin, and take no prisoners.

Eat the rich!

Bottom line: Billionaire Leon Cooperman cries because his obscene wealth might be taxed if Elizabeth Warren becomes president.
