Pat Robertson Stuns World, Attacks Trump For Not Being ‘Cool’ June 3, 2020

Plot Twist: In a stunning development televangelist Pat Robertson scolded President Donald Trump for his heavy handed and cruel response to the recent protests over the police killing of George Floyd.

Robertson made his surprising remarks condemning Trump’s threat to use the U.S. military on American civilians while appearing on his Christian television show “The 700 Club.”

Robertson said:

There’s a purpose of everything under Heaven, we read in the Bible, and there is a time and it seems like now is the time to say, ‘I understand your pain. I want to comfort you. I think it’s time we love each other.’ But the president took a different course: He said, ‘I am the president of law and order.’ And he issued a heads-up. He said, ‘I am ready to send in military troops if the nation’s governors don’t act to quell the violence that has rocked American cities.’ As a matter of fact, he spoke of them as being ‘jerks.’

You just don’t do that, Mr. President! It isn’t cool!

Robertson’s attack on Trump is surprising because previously the conservative televangelist has been one of Trump’s biggest defenders. Indeed, in the past Robertson has gone so far as to argue that opposing Trump is Satanic, and that opposition to Trump is a revolt against God.

Many people were surprised by Robertson’s flip-flop. The following is a sample of those reactions:

Bottom line: Televangelist Pat Robertson says President Donald Trump’s cruel response to the recent protests over the police killing of George Floyd “isn’t cool.”
