Pro-Death: More than 176,000 people in the U.S. are dead from COVID-19, and 57% of Republicans polled say that number is “acceptable.”

Independent reports:

A majority of Republicans surveyed in a national poll believe the number of deaths from the coronavirus is “acceptable,” and hold positive views of the US response to the pandemic.

USA Today reports:

Americans view the severity of the coronavirus pandemic and the effectiveness of the government’s response through a very partisan lens, a CBS News/YouGov poll released Sunday found.

More than 176,000 people in the U.S. have died from COVID-19. According to the poll, a 57% majority of registered Republican voters think that number is “acceptable,” compared with 31% of voters overall. Ninety percent of Democrats and 67% of independents said the death toll was “unacceptable.”

The Hill reports:

A CBS News-YouGov poll determined that 57 percent of Republican respondents said the U.S. death toll for COVID-19 has been “acceptable,” while 43 percent said it was “not acceptable.” Republicans were the only partisan group of which a majority of voters said the number of deaths has been acceptable.

In short, the Pro-Fetus, Forced-Birth party is not “pro-life,” despite the many claims made to the contrary.

The following is a sample of reactions to the GOP’s callous and cruel response to the pandemic:

The fact that a majority of Republicans are not troubled by the fact that over 170,000 Americans are dead because of the Trump administration’s gross incompetence speaks volumes about the state of the nation.

Bottom line: More than 176,000 people in the U.S. are dead from COVID-19, and 57% of Republicans polled say that number is “acceptable.”
