He Failed The Test: On the campaign trail in Minnesota President Donald Trump claims the economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic is God testing him.

Appearing on a stage before Mankato’s North Star Aviation flight school in Minnesota, Trump claimed that the economic damage from COVID-19 is a personal challenge from God.

While speaking from the airport tarmac, Trump told a handful of his supporters:

What we’re doing is nothing short of an economic miracle and now we’re doing it again. We built the greatest economy in the history of the world and now I have to do it again.

You know what that is? That’s right. That’s God testing me. He said, ‘You know, you did it once.’ And I said, ‘Did I do a great job, God? I’m the only one that could do it.’ He said, ‘That, you shouldn’t say. Now we’re going to have you do it again.’

Trump’s narcissism is nothing surprising, nor is his hubris in thinking the coronavirus pandemic is really all about him.

As one might imagine, people on social media mocked trump for his ridiculous claim:

Bottom line: On the campaign trail in Minnesota President Donald Trump claims the economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic is a personal challenge from God, declaring: “That’s God testing me.”
