Intertextuality in the New Testament on Sunday

As many of us gear up for the Society of Biblical Literature conference in New Orleans, I did want to mention that my paper will be as scheduled in the online program, which differs at this point from the printed programs sent through the mail:

Intertextuality in the New Testament (22-223a; originally listed as 21-322)
11/22/2009
1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Room: Rhythms Ballroom 1 – SH
Theme: Exploring Methods: Hearing, Remembering, and Contextualizing the Intertext
B. J. Oropeza, Azusa Pacific University, Presiding
James F. McGrath, Butler University
On Hearing (Rather Than Reading) Intertextual Echoes: Methodological Considerations Related to Aurality, Orality, and Intertextuality (30 min)
Jill Hicks-Keeton, Duke University
Remember and Believe: Psalm 69:9 in the Johannine Temple Logion (30 min)
Kenneth D. Litwak, Azusa Pacific University
Text, Pretext, Proof Text, Context: Should We Consider the Original Contexts of Intertexts? (30 min)
Stephen Moyise, University of Chichester, Respondent (30 min)
Discussion (30 min)

The specific examples the paper will focus on are monotheistic texts alluded to in Christological contexts in Paul’s letters. So it should be of interest to those working on the subject of monotheism and Christology, and not just those interested in intertextuality or orality.
