I’m hoping to have a chance to take a closer look at an iPad soon. I really don’t find it particularly appealing at all compared to a Tablet PC. With one exception: the iPad has a piano app that looks really cool. A while ago I shared a video of Lang Lang playing “Flight of the Bumble Bee” on an iPad, and that was pretty awesome.
And so that is the real test of whether the Tablet PC makes the iPad completely unnecessary. Can you play piano on it? Break it out and use it to record a melody or song idea that came to mind – or just to jam?
Apple says “There’s an app for that.” What I want to know is, who if anyone is exploring the musical potential for Tablet PCs? I really want to know!
