Young-Earth Creationists and Pun-Makers Stooping to All-Time Low?

P. Z. Myers looks at how the Louisiana Family Forum is reacting to its defeat as Louisiana’s Board of Elementary and Secondary Education voted to use high quality biology textbooks with reliable information. The Louisiana Family Forum site describes this in a manner that is thoroughly deceptive and misleading, asking in a poll on their web site: “Do you support BESE’s decision today to approve a list of Biology textbooks with known false and inaccurate information?”

The “false and inaccurate information” they are referring to is information about evolution, not watered down with disclaimers or other unnecessary distractions.

For those of you who have never seen such a poll get pharyngulated, it is a sight to see. Here’s a screenshot, since they will presumably take the poll down when they realize that the results are not what they hoped for:

Meanwhile, Salman Hameed looks at Ken Ham’s theme pARK. And Jim Kidder mentions the church-state issues, among other interesting things connected with the proposed theme park. But somehow he managed to do it without commenting on the great pun in an article he quotes. The article says “While Beshear and other local politicians are convinced the park will float through any regulatory battles…” (emphasis added).
