The Information Literacy Song Trilogy

The Information Literacy Song Trilogy June 19, 2013

Here are the three songs that I and my colleague Chad Bauman created and performed recently, trying to convey some key points about information literacy:

Which is your favorite?

I’m thinking the market for humorous songs about information literacy is now saturated. And so what should be next? How about funny songs related to the academic study of religion? I’ve got a few ideas. Any requests, or suggestions for future topics?

I’m sure this is not the place to point this out, but l am sure you’ll pass it along. The attribution link for the recurring image in the CRAP song is mistaken. The artist is one that I read daily. It appears that the blogspot that took the image also stripped the attribution from the bottom of it. The correct link is much shorter, anyway: http://www.nataliedee.com/041708/crap-detector.jpg

    • This absolutely is an appropriate place to point this out! Since the songs are about information literacy, citing the right sources is important to us! I will pass on the correct detail, so that at the very least, a correction can be made in the notes on the YouTube video.

Thank you for pointing this out!

Thanks Melanie–I’ve corrected it with annotations in the video!
