Hemant Mehta shared the above video. It really does a great job of showing some persistent elements in the outlook of the show, although obviously no show with so many writers and such a long history will be entirely consistent.

Fans will enjoy the overview of old and new, and the connections and continuities. But those interested in the philosophy of the show, and its treatment of religious and moral themes, will also find a lot to discuss. Hearing the Doctor’s words quoted while overlaid with an image of Ken Ham and other such people is simply brilliant! I invite you to discuss the video in the comments section here!

  • The video link no longer works. Don’t you find the idea of considering a Gallifreyan a “humanist” a bit silly?

    • Discussing as though one is within the world of a text is not the only way of approaching something like Doctor Who. But as the video was pulled for copyright infringement, it scarcely makes sense to try to discuss it.
