Googling Hatred

The New York Times had an article recently on the spike in “hate searches” after events such as terrorist attacks. The term “hate search” refers to things typed into search engines which express hatred towards an entire category of people, such as Muslims.

After reading about this phenomenon, I imagined Jesus’ words being updated for the present day. “You have heard it said “Don’t kill” – but I tell you that whoever Googles hatred regarding others will be subject to judgment…”

    I think when one hates & fears one’s
    trajectories of life change: one’s choices are narrowed and one’s inner vision is dimmed to ever-increasing darkness. also one becomes more susceptible to multiple addictions. I speak from experience about this! IMHO Jesus was the only person who could have pulled me out of the pit! *=)8•0

    When you Google (Jesus hate) the first entry is Luke 14:26:
    “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”
