As I will be taking over as chair of the Blogger and Online Publication Society of Biblical Literature program unit, let me highlight this year’s call for papers. There have been a lot of ways in which blogging has impacted the scholarly realm in recent years, and vice versa. Lots of them deserve to be highlighted, analysed, reflected on, and discussed, in the manner that we do with other topics in our conference papers. Here’s the CFP:

Call For Papers: The 2013 Annual Meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature will be held November 23-26 in Baltimore, MD. Members wishing to present papers should submit proposals on the SBL website at http://www.sbl-site.org/meetings/AnnualMeeting.aspx by March 1, 2013.
The SBL Blogger and Online Publication section invites proposals for papers for its 2013 annual meeting session. The open session calls for papers focusing on any area of blogging, online publication, and social media in relation to biblical studies, theology, and archaeology of the Levant.
