R3 Has a New Home! April 15, 2015

Welcome to Rhetoric, Race, and Religion at our new home on Patheos!  We are excited to join the Patheos family of blogs and look forward to contributing to the growth of this already powerful platform. Here at R3, we examine the intersections of rhetoric race and religion and demonstrate how these and other cultural intersections play a huge importance in our lives.

A little over three years ago, I came up with the name “Rhetoric, Race and Religion” because it covered my entire research agenda and pastoral ministry. It served initially as a place to house some of my work, ideas, thoughts and sometimes my laments as I continued to discern God’s call and direction. However, as time went on and as the blog grew in readership, the site became a place where we engaged in public debates about religion and how rhetoric shapes and constructs our theological outlooks. We also noted how race shaped both our rhetoric and religion and how many times, they all intersect. For you who have not read us yet, you can check us out here before the total full migration happens.

We look forward to continuing the discussion here at our new home.  Stay tuned!!
