Brian Foulks is a pastor, church planter, an urban missionary, and a motivational speaker. Known for being an advocate for invading the culture with the truth of the scripture. He is a cultural hybrid who connects the seminary with the community and speaks for the marginalized who are trying to get out of the trappings of poverty. His mission is based on a need to redirect the efforts of the church toward people that society at large has been disinclined to engage. He has a B.S. in Recreational Therapy from Benedict College and a Master of Art in Theological Studies with emphasis in church planting from Liberty University. He is currently finishing a Masters of Religion at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He will start a Masters of Sacred Theology in the fall with plans to enter into a Ph.D program the following year. He started Syncopated Hustle two years ago as a place to wrestle with theological ideas through blogging. He also blogs at Rhetoric Race and Religion and Think Theology.
