The Death Of Rock
I’ll be back if/when I’m healthy.
Uh oh, feel better soon. Just roll with the punches.
Yeah … what Robin said.
Justin, feel better soon. Put everything into perspective brother, if you’re getting shit over your latest post, put the shit where it belongs, you are an asset to the secular community and you don’t have to be in lockstep with others political agenda. Keep fighting the fight for secularism.
This blogosphere don’t mean shit in the end, what you do on the lines is where the work is done. Have a smoke and a coke, then get back in. From an ancient to a current (Legion etrangere).
Take care of yourself, hope you’re better soon.
Please don’t go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
(I hope everything ends up ok with your health, I will tremendously miss reading your posts in the mean time. I DO expect you to return.)
Get well, maybe come back stronger.
So much for ‘freethought’.
Dude, you are incredibly inspirational. The effort and success you have put into changing the military’s attitude toward freethought, and atheists and agnostics is really something special.
Feel better soon, so we can see you back in the fight.
It’s hard to come by educated people in this particular topic, but you seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks
Hey hey hey. If this means that you’re leaving of your own accord, then I beg you will reconsider.
Yes, you made a post that I substantially disagreed with. Don’t care. I don’t need to agree with everything you say to want to read your posts. You apologised for some of the more problematic bits (I hope because you had second thoughts) but please don’t over-react – everyone fucks up on the internet sometimes (especially moi), and yours was not as epic a fail as you seem to think. Have a think, take a break and come back to us with a head full of fiery new topics. Seriously.
I trust that you’re not being pushed out, but if that turns out to be the case then I shall be incredibly disappointed in our FtB overlords.
Um. OK, may have jumped the gun slightly there. Whatever the sitch, I hope you come back soon.
I’m absolutely not being pushed ot. It was suggested to me by people I respect that I was babbling like a conspiracy nut. Not my post but about something else entirely. It was actually about whether or not Anonymous was a culture and how influential they are. I had at one point been very active in what I felt was most certainly a culture. Their reaction that I was somehow about to start spouting nonsense about Bilderbergs and other Zeitgeist herpderp … triggered me into a self assessment mode. Maybe I am a little crazy. I don’t feel like I am properly communicating…. but what if I am crazy? I’m going to see a doctor, I’m obviously overstressed. Free healthcare. Amirite?
Time for a smoke and a coke! If you feel you need to see a doc, then you probably need to see a doc. Took me a long time to realise that the mood swings i had that resulted in people leaving premises in ambulances rather than taxis was something i had to get sorted. Ex foreign legion and my civvy life was spent up to that point in private security roles, from close protection through to bouncing in night clubs for laffs.
It takes a lot of guts to set down the image and say “i need head help” but it helped me to deal with my ptsd that i hadn’t even acknolwedged. If it ain’t hard it ain’t worth doing 😉 stay strong and be honest with yourself.
We DO love you Justin. You know you can call anyone of us at any time. We are so grateful for you and everything you’ve done. You are an amazing person.
What embertine at @11 said.
Err. Except for this bit:
There is no pushing out under any circumstances on FtB, or I’d probably have been gone long ago. Once you’re on, you’re on, til you make like Loftus or Libby Anne and leave of your own accord.
Justin, do whatever you need to do to get yourself in a better place. Having been there myself, I can assure you there is help and you’ll make it.
Still, ya gotta love that socialized health care, right Justin?
I know I do!
Get well Justin.
Didn’t think so, Jason, just wanted to keep my options open in case there was something that had happened behind the scenes.
Anyway, I went to see a head doctor myself on Friday and I feel better for having asked for help. Free healthcare indeed! Get well Justin, and return to us happier. x
Illegitimi non carborundum.
Your well being comes first but I do hope you get better & return. I only just started reading your blogs & would hate to see you go so soon.
Hang in there!
…and thanks to real horrorshow for reminding me of this:
Dear, Justin…I have made indsicretion of spelling your name the last time I posted here. Not only one, but thrice. As I noted on B&W, the other night, it was “terrible freudian typo”. I much apologize for this. It certainly was unitentional and had meant no malice or offence towards you. I am simply not very good with spelling names at times. Again, my extreme apologies for this.
I really hope you get better soon, quickly and how!
Illegitimi non carborundum.
QFT. Hang in there, brother.
Justin, I see your “Death of Rock” and raise you some “Territorial Pissings,” brother. Please keep fighting the good fight. Although I’m the king of self doubt and can relate if that’s what’s going on here, I beg you not to fertilize the seeds of doubt others plant in you.
Take care of yourself and come back when ready.
I’ve been lurking on your blog a long time, Justin, and I just want to thank you for all you have done. I have a lot of respect for you, and I hope someday to attend a Rock Beyond Belief at Fort Campbell. Take care of yourself and enjoy your life and family. You’ve earned it!
