Roll to Disbelieve Summer Fun Super Special! (#10)

Roll to Disbelieve Summer Fun Super Special! (#10) July 4, 2019

Hi! Today, I thought it’d be fun to take a day to look back at the blog’s history. Please enjoy this curated selection of posts from the blog’s past–and if you celebrate the 4th of July, then please have a great, happy, and safe one!

American History.

“A Thief in the Night.”

A year or so ago, we had a ball tearing all of these iconic Christian rapture-scare movies to shreds.

I still can’t believe the people responsible for this travesty think they can squeeze a fifth movie out of this mess.

High and Low Christianity.

Some of my early attempts to figure out why some Christians are so much worse than others. I think I was on the right track.

Have a wonderful 4th, whether you’re celebrating it or not! And we’ll see you back soon. We’ve got so much going on next week that I’m wondering if Bumble can lend me some of his energy.

About Captain Cassidy
Captain Cassidy grew up fervently Catholic, converted to the SBC in her teens, and became a Pentecostal shortly afterward. She even volunteered in church (choir, Sunday School) and married an aspiring preacher! But then--record scratch!--she brought everything to a screeching halt when she deconverted in her mid-20s. That was 25 years ago. Now a comfortable None, she blogs on Roll to Disbelieve about psychology, pop culture, politics, relationships, cats, gaming, and more--and where they all intersect with religion. And she still can't carry a note in a bucket. You can read more about the author here.
