Imam speaks of the importance of the Scientology-supported humanitarian programs and the vision of Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard

Mr. Abdellah Mechnoune, President of the Islamic Organization of the European Arab World, is a strong proponent of interfaith and multiethnic cooperation and understanding. As imam of Turin, Italy, he works to bring together diverse groups and acknowledges that Scientologists “love their neighbor without distinction of skin color or faith.” Of  L. Ron Hubbard he says, “We really need his teachings, all of us, not only those who have Catholic or Christian faith but even other people. The Founder of the Church of Scientology has made this program for the whole world.”

These people of the Church of Scientology are a blessing for the Paduans and also for the community who lives here, who has chosen to live in Padova. They are serious people, they are people who bring a clear message and that love their neighbor without distinction of skin color or faith. I believe the Italians must know their message without prejudice.

The Church of Scientology and their programs are doing the work of the Italian government. They are doing the work of law enforcement, they are doing the work of magistrates, they are doing it all, in the sense that they have in their programs that they are really against drugs, not only in writing but actually demonstrated. They are compassionate towards people, they teach them about drugs—they are against drugs. Here there is the motivation, here there are real teachings.

I read a book, The Way to Happiness, and I loved it! I believe as a Muslim that the teachings, those exact points are the same as those of my faith, Islam. It’s the same thing. Both those things really touched me, those points against drugs, against prostitution, against any kind of crime.

The Founder of the Church of Scientology—he had a vision, from the past into the present. He already knew like a light, I believe, like something spiritual, he knew that there will come a time when people are turning away from faith and much closer to the devil. His teachings are right, are just right, “efficaces” [effective] as the French would say. So we really need his teachings, all of us, not only those who have Catholic or Christian faith but even other people. The Founder of the Church of Scientology has made this program for the whole world.
