David Miscavige in Paris:
David Miscavige in Paris is the first in a series of blogs about new Scientology Churches Mr. Miscavige has dedicated.
As ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, David Miscavige has presided over many dedications of Scientology Churches. But the excitement and sense of anticipation for this was unprecedented.
What a perfect conclusion. Yes, the Paris congregation now has the perfect Scientology Church. And yes, it is in the perfect location. But it is also a dream come true.

Exuberant Reaction
When the master of ceremonies announced Mr. David Miscavige, the surprised audience burst into exuberant applause. They anticipated the Church opening with great enthusiasm. But when Mr. Miscavige walked onto the stage, that made it perfect.
“No, I would not have missed being here with you for anything,” David Miscavige told the congregation. “While we’ve opened Ideal Orgs in other cultural epicenters, megacities of significance to our entire global movement, well, this one crowns them all.”
“After all, you are in the Cultural Capital of Earth. And at the top of every ‘Best’ list: Best art, best food, best Tower. Now this city can also lay claim to: Best Ideal Org Building on Earth.”
What Makes the New Church So Special?
The new Church is located in Saint-Denis near the Stade de France. And it features a six-story glass and wood design. The facility includes a grand auditorium and a chapel. These and the seminar rooms and classrooms all support the Church’s outreach initiatives and community events.
The new Church of Scientology in Paris is built on a legacy. In 1959, French Scientologists established the first Scientology Church in Europe. David Miscavige highlighted this historical connection and spoke of how this new facility will continue and add to that legacy.
Carrying on the Legacy of the Nation
“There is a birthright of this land that cannot be forgotten. It traces back to the strong voices of your Enlightenment in ages past,” Mr. Miscavige said. “By that, I mean those who first championed the rights of man, the dignity of man, and who gave birth to a phrase all but synonymous with the spirit of this day: Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.
“I say nothing better represents those ideals…than your new Ideal Organization of Paris.”
